| Product Type: | Elliptical Trainers |

| Description: |
The NordicTrack Elite 1300 has been described as the best "cheap" elliptical. It is a solid work horse that would be start to any home gym. When researching this product there are very few people who have bad things to say about this elliptical trainer. Most talk about the 30, 40, 50 etc pounds they have lost. The Elite 1300 is not a small unit, so make sure that you have enough space.
Expect assembly to take 2 - 4 hours. This is a great sturdy unit that will give you years of gym quality service in the comfort of your home. |

We bought our NordicTrack Elite 1300 2 months ago through Costco. It shipped to us quickly and has been a pretty good product besides the loud clinking sound it made when going at a slower pace. Yesterday our 12 year old son got on the NordicTrack to exercise and the entire front piece completely broke!! The metal that attaches the moving handles to the machine literally tore away from the machine itself!! We still can't believe that this could happen unless the metal was already weak from possible shipping damages or unless we were sent a machine that was already broken and had been poorly welded together!! This is quite a large machine that is not going to be easy to ship back to the company!!
Thanks for the info. I was about ready to buy this machine and your experience helped me decide not to. I will look for another brand of elliptical.
We also bought this from Costco in January 2007, and the same piece just broke today.
We had the clicking noise and the same part (Front rod) broke about a week ago. We had been using it for a year now. So I am not sure if it was a bad part or a design flaw.
I bought this machines at costco 2 years ago. The vertical metal tube split at both side of the weld that attaches the horizontal tube which the handles are mounted. I think there is a design flaw here.
